Types Of Septic Systems We Install In Lakeland Florida

Conventional Septic Systems

Conventional septic systems are the most common type used in residential areas throughout Central Florida. They consist of a septic tank, a distribution box, and a drain field. Wastewater flows from the home into the septic tank, where solids settle to the bottom, and liquids flow out through the distribution box and into the drain field for further treatment in the soil.

Benefits Of A Conventional Septic System:

  • Cost-effective installation and maintenance.
  • Simple design with fewer mechanical parts.
  • Effective in areas with suitable soil conditions and adequate space for a drain field.

Aerobic Septic Systems

Aerobic septic systems introduce air into the treatment process, promoting the growth of aerobic bacteria that break down waste more efficiently. These systems are suitable for properties with poor soil conditions, high groundwater levels, or limited space for a drain field.

Benefits Of An Aerobic Septic System:

  • Superior treatment of wastewater, making it safer for discharge into environmentally sensitive areas.
  • Can be installed on properties with poor soil conditions or limited space.
  • Reduces the risk of groundwater contamination.

Choosing the Right Septic System

The choice between a conventional and an aerobic septic system depends on several factors, including soil conditions, property size, and local regulations. Our team of experts at Anytime Septic Solutions, Inc. can assess your property and recommend the best septic system to meet your needs, ensuring compliance with Polk County regulations and environmental standards.

How Much Does It Cost To Install A New Septic System In Lakeland Florida?

Conventional Septic System Installation Pricing

The cost to install a conventional septic system in Lakeland, Florida, typically ranges from $5,000 to $15,000. This includes the septic tank, distribution box, drain field, plumbing connections, and labor.

Factors Affecting Cost:

  • Tank Size: Larger tanks cost more due to increased material and labor.
  • Soil Conditions: Poor soil conditions may require additional material, such as gravel or sand.
  • Permits and Inspections: Local regulations require permits and inspections, adding to the cost.
  • Excavation: The complexity and depth of excavation required can impact the price.
  • Drain Field Size and Design: The size and design of the drain field, including the type of distribution pipes and gravel used, affect the total cost.

Aerobic Septic System Installation Pricing

The cost to install an aerobic septic system in Lakeland, Florida, ranges from $10,000 to $25,000+. These systems are more complex and include additional components such as an aeration chamber and disinfection unit.

Factors Affecting Cost:

  • System Complexity: Aerobic systems have more components and require more sophisticated technology, increasing the cost.
  • Installation Requirements: These systems often need electricity for the air pump and other components, which can add to the installation cost.
  • Maintenance Needs: Aerobic systems typically require more frequent maintenance, which can affect the overall installation and long-term costs.
  • Local Regulations: Compliance with local health and environmental regulations may require additional features or modifications.

Additional Septic System Installation Costs To Consider

Site Preparation: If the installation site requires significant preparation, such as clearing trees or leveling ground, these costs will add to the total.

Distance from building: The distance from the home or building to the septic system location can influence labor and material costs, especially if extensive piping is required.

Water Table Level: High water tables may necessitate special design considerations or additional materials to ensure the system functions properly.

Do You Have Questions About Septic System Installation?

The main types of septic systems installed in Central Florida are conventional septic systems and aerobic septic systems. Conventional systems include a septic tank and a drain field, while aerobic systems introduce air into the wastewater treatment process to promote aerobic bacterial activity, which breaks down waste more efficiently.

Installing a septic system requires permits from the local health department. These permits ensure that the system meets health and environmental regulations. The process typically includes a site evaluation, system design approval, and inspections during and after installation.

The installation process can take several days to a few weeks, depending on the complexity of the system, site conditions, and permitting process. Site preparation, excavation, tank installation, and drain field construction all contribute to the timeline.

New septic systems should be inspected annually. Maintenance, such as pumping the septic tank, should be done every 3-5 years for conventional systems and more frequently for aerobic systems. Regular maintenance ensures the system operates efficiently and prolongs its lifespan.

A well-maintained septic system can last 20-30 years or more. The lifespan depends on factors such as system type, usage, soil conditions, and regular maintenance. Aerobic systems, with their mechanical components, may require more frequent servicing but can also last a long time with proper care.

Signs include frequent backups, slow drains, foul odors, standing water around the drain field, and a system that requires frequent repairs. If your system is more than 20-30 years old, it might be time to consider a replacement.

I can’t say enough about Anytime Septic Solutions Inc! I woke up to a huge mess in my bathroom and kitchen this morning that didn’t seem to end! I have only been in this home for less than 6 months so this was absolutely shocking to me. I’m a renter so I contacted my Landlord who said they couldn’t get anyone out until THE NEXT DAY 2 PM! That would be over 24 hours with little to no access to running water. I posted a Facebook cry for help and had 2 comments recommending this company so I contacted them immediately! Megan answered my call and assured me someone could be out there by 6 pm TODAY! I was relieved! I gave my landlord their contact and just like she said, the truck rolled into rescue. The two men worked TEDIOUSLY until they knew we wouldn’t have this problem again and didn’t leave until it was completely fixed. I have seriously never been happier to leave a review. I will recommend Anytime Septic literally any chance I get. THANK YOU!🩶

So I live in rural Lake Wales and after years of flushing (non) flushable wipes started having some sewage pooling in the yard right above the septic tank. Called Anytime Septic out of Lakeland and they pumped the tank and told me it was a drain field issue and as soon as the tank refilled it would back up again because it wasn't draining properly. My options were either replace drain field completely 11,000, Or" water jet clean" the lines which is around 4,000. The septic system is 30 years old but I chose to jet the lines and it worked..no more pooling. Larry and Anytime Septic know what they're doing, look no further. Honest people.
