Why You Should Install A Septic Tank Riser On Your Septic Tank

Installing a septic tank riser offers several benefits that improve the accessibility, maintenance, and overall efficiency of your septic system. Here are some specific reasons why you should consider adding a riser to your septic tank:

1. Easier Access for Maintenance: Septic tank risers bring the tank’s access point to ground level, eliminating the need for extensive digging to locate and open the tank. This easy access simplifies routine maintenance tasks such as pumping, inspections, and repairs. With a riser, technicians can quickly and efficiently locate the tank and perform their duties, reducing labor time and costs.

2. Cost Savings: By reducing the need for labor-intensive digging, septic tank risers can help lower the overall cost of maintaining your septic system. The one-time installation cost of a riser is often offset by the long-term savings from reduced maintenance expenses. Over time, these savings can be substantial, particularly for properties requiring frequent septic service.

3. Enhanced Durability: Modern septic tank risers and lids are typically made from durable materials like plastic or concrete, designed to withstand environmental elements and resist corrosion. This durability ensures that your riser will last for many years, providing a reliable access point that requires minimal upkeep.

4. Compliance with Regulations: In some areas, local regulations may require the installation of septic tank risers to ensure that septic systems are properly maintained and accessible for inspections. Installing a riser can help ensure your system complies with these regulations, avoiding potential fines and ensuring environmental safety.

5. Aesthetic Benefits: Septic tank risers can be installed with low-profile, aesthetically pleasing lids that blend into your landscaping. This helps maintain the appearance of your property while still providing the functional benefits of easy access.

Examples Where Septic Risers Are Helpful:

  • Routine Pumping: A homeowner who schedules regular septic tank pumping can benefit from a riser by making each service visit quicker and less disruptive, thus reducing the service cost.
  • Emergency Repairs: In the event of a septic system failure or emergency, a riser allows for rapid access to the tank, enabling swift diagnosis and repair without the delay and expense of excavation.
  • Property Sales: When selling a property, having a septic tank riser installed can be a selling point, demonstrating that the system is well-maintained and easily accessible for future upkeep.

By installing a septic tank riser, you can enhance the convenience, safety, and cost-effectiveness of your septic system maintenance. Contact Anytime Septic Solutions, Inc. to learn more about our professional riser and lid installation services and how they can benefit your property.

Do You Have Questions About Septic Tank Riser Installation?

A septic tank riser is a pipe that extends from the top of the septic tank to ground level, allowing for easy access to the tank for maintenance, pumping, and inspections. It typically has a secure lid at ground level that can be easily opened.

Yes, a riser can be retrofitted to most older septic tanks. This involves locating the tank, exposing the access points, and installing the riser to extend to ground level. This retrofit can significantly simplify future maintenance and inspections.

Septic risers are commonly made from durable materials such as plastic (polyethylene or PVC) or concrete. Plastic risers are lightweight and resistant to corrosion, while concrete risers offer durability and strength, especially in areas with heavy foot or vehicle traffic.

Installing a septic tank riser generally takes a few hours. The process includes locating the septic tank, digging to expose the access points, installing the riser, securing it, and backfilling around the riser.

Risers can be installed on most types of septic tanks, including those made from concrete, fiberglass, or plastic. However, the specific installation process may vary depending on the tank's material and design.

The riser will be visible at ground level, but many homeowners choose to install low-profile lids or camouflage them with landscaping elements such as rocks, plants, or decorative covers to maintain aesthetic appeal.

Yes, we can replace your septic tank lid with a similar model or we can install a new riser which will come with a new lid as well.

I can’t say enough about Anytime Septic Solutions Inc! I woke up to a huge mess in my bathroom and kitchen this morning that didn’t seem to end! I have only been in this home for less than 6 months so this was absolutely shocking to me. I’m a renter so I contacted my Landlord who said they couldn’t get anyone out until THE NEXT DAY 2 PM! That would be over 24 hours with little to no access to running water. I posted a Facebook cry for help and had 2 comments recommending this company so I contacted them immediately! Megan answered my call and assured me someone could be out there by 6 pm TODAY! I was relieved! I gave my landlord their contact and just like she said, the truck rolled into rescue. The two men worked TEDIOUSLY until they knew we wouldn’t have this problem again and didn’t leave until it was completely fixed. I have seriously never been happier to leave a review. I will recommend Anytime Septic literally any chance I get. THANK YOU!🩶

So I live in rural Lake Wales and after years of flushing (non) flushable wipes started having some sewage pooling in the yard right above the septic tank. Called Anytime Septic out of Lakeland and they pumped the tank and told me it was a drain field issue and as soon as the tank refilled it would back up again because it wasn't draining properly. My options were either replace drain field completely 11,000, Or" water jet clean" the lines which is around 4,000. The septic system is 30 years old but I chose to jet the lines and it worked..no more pooling. Larry and Anytime Septic know what they're doing, look no further. Honest people.
